Another book order on the alkaline diet. I am sold out on this diet and would stay on it permanently if husband was as enthusiastic as I am. We were strict to this date when he was recovering from cancer. He will say how good he felt during the time he was eating like this. I read these books to stay informed and give them to others to encourage them to try the diet.

This book reads like a 5th grade book report. Keeps saying the same thing over and over and gives no support or science behind it. There were a few foods that the author listed as alkaline then a few pages later listed them as acidic. And not in a “in this form it’s acidic but in this form...” just contradictory lists. Only giving one star because it has recipes in the back. Don’t know if they are good but they are there.

I have read part of the book. But already I can see it was worth buying. It gives a lot of information. I can't wait to finish it.

I never tried alkaline diet yet so I really got so interested in this book. I found so many great ideas that can help me lose weight and avoid inflammation. I am not getting any younger anymore. So I really have to take care of myself.I am very grateful to gave this book. Wonderful read indeed!

Wow! I love this cookbook! There are so many recipes I have marked to cook. The recipes look healthy and really good. I want to get it for friends too. Highly recommend this book.

Unfortunately, the writer sheds very little light on how to get and stay motivated to follow an alkaline diet... high on sincerity, but low on how -to. However, the meal plans and recipes at the end of this book are excellent, and more than compensate for the lackluster writing.
